The back nine starts with a par 5 that is downhill slightly with OB on the left. There is a fairway bunker on the right side that is in play making the fairway tight for most players. This hole can be reachable for the longer hitters but is a risk/reward hole with its distance and the green. The green is small and guarded by a large pond short left, and Andy's Pond on the front right. This limits the ability to run a shot up short. there is room green high left, and for the first time long of the green is not a bad miss. There is a wide area for layup shots and a more manageable approach.
Two big shots can get home here if you want to take the risk. It will take two long shots and the green is protected and small. However if the second shot stays dry it should be an easy up and down as the green is flat and easy to read.
